Live a Self-controlled Lifestyle

If a person or family will live a restrained lifestyle, they will be able to live on thousands of dollars less each year.  You should incur debt only when it makes good economic sense.  The expense of borrowing should be less than the economic benefit you will receive.

Don’t underestimate the interest of God to help you in every way.  Over and over the Scriptures indicate that you are to live a controlled and temperate lifestyle.

“Now the overseer must be above reproach . . . temperate, self-controlled, respectable”  (I Timothy 3:2).

“Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: ‘I am the LORD your God, who teaches you to profit, who leads you by the way you should go’”  (Isaiah 48:17; NKJV).
