Our Financial Copilot

In his book Weather Flying, retired pilot Robert Buck talks about the importance of the copilot during serious weather conditions:

“A copilot during serious instrument flight is a necessity—not required by regulation, but without doubt, flying instruments without a copilot is a very tough job. I’ve flown small aircraft in serious weather, on instruments alone, and it’s much more difficult than flying a 747 with a crew”[i].

Even in financial storms, we can rest assured that God is our copilot! In Hebrews 13:5-6, note the following command and promise: “Don’t love money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said, ‘I will never fail you. I will never abandon you.’ So we can say with confidence, ‘The Lord is my helper, so I will have no fear…’”

If we put our faith and trust in God, He will teach us how to use the proper instruments to face, with confidence, the financial storms of life we may be encountering.
