Paying With Cash – 1

Paying cash for a purchase is not generally promoted in our society. In many cases, it is outright discouraged. Why pay cash when you can lease the item? Why pay cash when you can enjoy low-interest financing? Why pay cash when you could be building your personal credit rating? Why pay cash? – you may need it for something else.

Of course, all these statements about not paying cash are just silly. If you buy into this notion that paying cash is bad, you are buying into a lifetime of debt. You are becoming the debtor while someone else is becoming the creditor or lender.

The timeless biblical proverb still remains credible and truthful. According to Proverbs 22:7, “The borrower is servant to the lender.” The principle is black and white: there is no room for an alternate interpretation or explanation. You are either a borrower or a lender.

Would you rather borrow for a purchase or pay cash? Your comments appreciated!
