Mapping Out Your Financial Destination

Only a foolish person would begin a long journey without knowing the destination. It may be that you have considered some New Year’s resolutions to guide you through the coming year.

It is said that there are only two things in life that are sure—death and taxes. However, there is an additional one—time flies! The future will soon be the present. You can either be ready for it or wait and let it take you by surprise.

Your financial clock is ticking and before you know it, that which you thought was a long way off will be just around the corner. The bottom line is that you need to be ready. Start now by defining your purpose, your life philosophy, your objectives and then your goals.

You need a personal / family mission statement. An important element in establishing your financial goals is to determine or maybe just review your life’s purpose. From there you can clearly define your financial objectives.

Start now by defining your purpose, your life philosophy, your objectives and then your goals.

Yes, you can choose a new set of New Year’s resolutions to improve the coming year. But isn’t your life more important than just the year ahead or a long journey planned for the family vacation?

Should you not then consider your journey of life worthy of your most earnest efforts at planning and preparation? I encourage you to formulate life plans, lay down a definite course to follow, and begin your journey today.
