I am a big fan of writing down goals for money and requests to God. The reason for this doesn't purely revolve around focus and being organised. If we don't write down specific goals then it's harder to absolutely attribute the amazing answer or provision to God. These "guideposts" of provision become the faith grounding in our prayers as we call on the "God who provided for my education costs", the "God who paid my hospital bills of $5,000 last year" etc etc
